John Scanlan

John is an 11-year-old talent from Townsville, Australia, with a deep passion for singing, piano, and musical theatre. His stage journey began at the age of six, performing at local events and taking on various roles.

Recently, John was honored with the award for Most Promising Male Vocalist (13 years & under) in Australia. He has also achieved a Distinction in his Grade 5 Classical Singing and Musical Theatre exam with Trinity College London.

At just eight years old, John made his debut with Matt Ward Entertainment as the youngest performer to date, reprising the role of ‘Benji’ in Priscilla Queen of the Desert on the Gold Coast. He also made an international mark with his recording debut alongside Paul Ettore Tabone (Tenor and West End Star) on the Christmas EP Song for an Unknown Child. John continues to receive private vocal lessons and mentorship from Paul Ettore Tabone, further honing his craft.
