Gavin Brown

Gavin Brown is a Sydney-based operatic tenor regularly performing with Opera Australia. Recently, Gavin showcased his talents as a swing and understudy for Raoul de Chagny in Opera Australia’s acclaimed production of The Phantom of the Opera at both the Sydney Opera House and Arts Centre Melbourne.

Gavin holds a Master of Music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and has also made his mark in New York, where he performed Tamino in The Magic Flute, Don Basilio and Don Curzio in The Marriage of Figaro, and appeared in an operatic gala at Carnegie Hall. His recent credits include Boatswain in H.M.S. Pinafore with Hayes Theatre Co, Vladimir Lensky in Eugene Onegin with Pacific Opera, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni with Pacific Opera and Con Opera, and roles in the new Australian works Chop Chef (Blush Opera) and Love Burns (Other Theatre Co).
