Leanne Rood (She/Her) is a hardworking emerging artist from Sydney, Australia. In 2021, she
graduated from Ettingshausens Pro with her Diploma of Elite Performance. Since then, Leanne
has continued her training intensively at The Artist Lab 5-Day Broadway/West-End Intensive
with Simone Sault and Paul Tabone as well as Theatre Bridge, a 5 week Musical Theatre
Program run by Nathan Markwright and Andrew Bevis.
In 2020, Leanne had the opportunity to perform for the ICC T20 Women’s Cricket World Cup.
She was also fortunate enough to be a dancer extra on The Voice Promotional Shoot for 2022.
Leanne has worked and assisted alongside Sela Vai in multiple projects including appearing in
her concept video “commUNITY” which was released in 2021 as well as performing at the
2022 Ted X Sydney Conference at Sydney Town Hall. Leanne also assisted Sela creatively in
“Latitudes”, the Powerhouse Parramatta Opening project. In 2025, Leanne had the opportunity
to perform as an alumni at the Design Your Career Showcase which was directed and
mentored by both Aimee and Neale Whittaker.
Leanne is currently basing herself in London, UK continuing to explore and pursue her career in
live theatre.
