Megan Potter
Megan Brielle is an Australian-British vocalist, performer, and educator whose work bridges the worlds of opera and music theatre. Classically trained since the age of six, she is developing a distinctive career as an emerging classical crossover artist, combining operatic technique with contemporary theatrical performance.
She holds a Bachelor of Music Performance from the Australian Academy of Music and Performing Arts, majoring in Music Theatre Voice with a minor in Classical Voice. During her studies, she performed leading showcase roles including Christine Daaé, Truth-Teller, and devised and performed her graduate recital Morgana in the title role. Megan further refined her craft at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), completing their Singing and Acting course, and was also selected for THEatreBRIDGE Season 5, continuing to expand her professional training and performance experience within Australia’s theatrical community. Her stage credits include leading lady Fran in Strictly Ballroom at the Blue Mountains Theatre, as well as charity concert performances of Sweet Charity and The Pirates of Penzance.
A multiple eisteddfod winner across Greater Western Sydney, Megan holds AMEB certifications in Classical Voice and Piano and has performed regularly at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre and the Sydney Opera House with the Penrith City’s Childrens, Youth, and Adult Choirs, as well as being a part of the drama showcases Ovations and the NSW Music Festivals.
Alongside her performance career, Megan is a dedicated educator. She currently serves as a Senior Drama Tutor in the Visual and Performing Arts department at the International Baccalaureate centre St Paul’s Grammar School, where she directs productions and works as a resident playwright, while also maintaining a strong presence as a music tutor across Greater Western Sydney. Megan aspires to establish herself as a classical crossover artist, combining the dramatic intensity of music theatre with the vocal power and discipline of her operatic training.
