Xia Lian studied as a part of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s inaugural Bachelor of Musical Theatre, class of 2025. Her recent Musical Theatre experience includes Cinderella in ‘Into the Woods’, ‘The Theory of Relativity’, Mabel in ‘Pirates of Penzance’, Jennie Parsons in ‘Down in the Valley’ (Syd Con), Mrs Andersson in ‘A Little Night Music’ (Hayes, 2023), Backing Vocalist in ‘Everything is Sh*t’ (Garden Party Creatives), ‘The Voices’ Concert (Neil Gooding Productions), Johanna Barker in ‘Sweeney Todd’ (Arcadians Theatre Company). Xia Lian’s production team credits include Music Director for ‘Gypsy’ (NSTC), Music Director for The Addams Family (SGHS/SBHS), AMD/VD for ‘New Voices, Stage Manager for ‘Falsettos’ (MUSE) and Stage Manager for ‘My Fair Lady’ (TIGS). 

Xia Lian has appeared on Playschool with Nikki Webster, as well as TripleJ with Rapper ‘AllDay’. She also made an appearance on NCIS Sydney Season 2, as well as being a part of Tim Minchin’s ‘Play it Safe’ Music Video to celebrate the 50 years of the SOH, both on-screen and as a backing vocalist.
